A Busy & Personal year

As this year comes to a close, it feels like the right moment to pause and reflect — not just professionally, but personally too.

On paper, it’s been an incredibly busy year. Weddings, private events, and performances have filled the calendar from early spring right through to winter. I’ve spent countless evenings moving between tables, conversations, and moments — doing what I love most: creating shared experiences people genuinely remember.

But this year hasn’t just been busy.
It’s been personal.

A Year of Performances — And Perspective

Weddings, in particular, have played a huge role again this season. There’s something special about performing in that environment — relaxed, intimate, and full of emotion. The best moments often happen quietly: a reaction spreading around a table, laughter between strangers, or a shared pause where everyone realises they’ve just experienced something together.

Those moments are why I’ve always believed close-up performance works best when it feels natural — never intrusive, never forced. That philosophy has guided everything I do.

And this year, that belief took on a deeper meaning.

For My Biggest Supporter

In August, I lost my mum.

She was, without question, my biggest fan. The first person to know how a performance went, the first to tell anyone who would listen what I did for a living, and the one who believed in this path long before it looked like a sensible choice.

Continuing to perform through the latter part of the year gave me something grounding — a sense of normality during a time when very little felt normal. It reminded me why I started, and why this work matters to me beyond dates in a diary.

Every performance since August has carried a little more weight.
A little more intention & a lot more emotion.

Changing Conversations

Something else has quietly shifted over the last few months.

Alongside wedding enquiries, I’ve found myself having more conversations with clients planning events that call for something more considered — experiences that feel intelligent, engaging, and refined rather than overtly “showy”.

Less spectacle.
More connection.

Those conversations have shaped a new performance concept I’ve been developing behind the scenes.

Looking Ahead to Next Year

Next year will see the introduction of a more focused experience inspired by the psychology of classic confidence games — elegant cons once found in private rooms and high-stakes environments.

It isn’t a departure from what I do.
It’s a natural evolution.The same close-up, conversational style.
The same emphasis on people over props.

Simply reimagined for corporate events, private receptions, and curated spaces where subtlety and sophistication matter.

Final Thoughts

This year has been full — of work, reflection, and perspective.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who invited me into their celebrations and trusted me with their guests. Each performance this year has meant more than most.

And I know my mum would have been proud of what’s coming next.
